About the artist: Matt Rinard (1964- ), American. Rinard studied graphic design at Florida State University and continued at New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. Rinard resides in New Orleans where he has a gallery, and is famous for ironic, surprising and off-kilter humor. His bold composition and vibrant colors have won him a devoted following worldwide. The subjects of Rinard’s works are often centered around the imagined antic of household pets, when no humans are watching. Rinard releases a limited-edition series each Mardi Gras.
