Item Description

You and three guests enjoy a personal tour of the 1763 Moffatt-Ladd House and its stunning gardens.  A chestnut tree, planted in 1776 by William Whipple, flourishes besides the House. Participants may receive a plant of their choice from the plant sale and a copy of Alexander Ladd's Garden Journal.

The Moffatt-Ladd House (1763) is a National Historic Landmark and on the National Register; it was the home of William Whipple, signer of the Declaration of Independence. It has been a house museum since the early 1900's.  Located on Portsmouth's waterfront, it's within easy walking distance of Market Square, Strawbery Banke and the Portsmouth Historical Society & Discover Portsmouth.

Tour lasts about one hour.
