Win (2) 45 Minute Sessions with Marya Warshaw, Strategic Advisor to Independent Dance, Theater, and Performance Artists, and Non-Profits!  

45 Minute session with Marya Warshaw inclusive of discussing your strengths and providing possible strategies for addressing challenges . Our session will include identifying any current project you are working on and developing strategies that will be of service to a vision that is inclusive of what you have and what you need - personally, professionally, financially. In clarifying how to build your own artistic practice, our session will also touch on where you are now, where you want to go, who you want to build with along the way.

Marya Warshaw is the Founding Executive/Artistic Director of BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange, where she led the organization and its wide slate of programming, strategy and development for nearly thirty years. Warshaw was recognized by Bard College in 2019 with their John Dewey public service award and has received two NY Dance & Performance Awards (the “Bessies”) both in 2018 for outstanding service to the field of dance and 1998 for “building a house and a home for the arts in Brooklyn”. She was named a 2010 Cultural Practitioner Residency from the Rockefeller Foundation, Bellagio Center, Italy. Warshaw has participated in three Undoing Racism organizing workshops with the People’s Institute for Survival and beyond (PISAB) and has made a personal and professional commitment to creating and sustaining equitable practices within the field. From March 2020- December 2022 she was the Director of the Petronio Residency Center in Round Top, N.Y. where she is responsible for providing residencies and retreats for performing artists and companies as developing the capacity of the center. She is on the Board of Directors of Gametophyte/Dean Moss, and CREATE Council on the Arts serving Greene, Columbia and Schoharie Counties in NYS. Currently she is a Strategic Advisor offering long and short term consulting to independent artists and organizations Identifying and establishing action plans that include opportunities, challenges, strategic planning.
