In this merging of life, beloved places, and favorite pastimes, the artist, designer, and avid skateboarder Leonardo Ilianov De La Cruz has depicted a cherished part of his family home in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with a focus on a scene in mother’s tropical garden. The decks can be displayed separately or together. Based on New York, the artist reminds us that we can be far from home and yet close at the same time.
