Item Description

"Decoupage Poisson" by Pamela Haley

Medium: Decoupage, acrylic and watercolor on wood

Size: 19" x 8"

Artist Statement:

This piece was very fun to do! I loved making all the intricate cuts to the papers and puzzling them together, keeping a balance of all the beautiful colors, before gluing them and lacquering the finished piece. I find it wonderfully interesting to look at.

Artist Biography:

I am a resident of Marblehead and received a B.A. in Studio Art from Kenyon College. An independent artist, I am primarily a jewelry designer but also work in other media, such as painting and knitting. I love the use of color, whether it is through paint, gemstones, different papers, shells and fibers, and am always inspired by organic shapes found in nature.
