Item Description
Court Street Cemetery Tour with Homer Thiel for 10
The Court Street Cemetery was open from 1875 to 1909, serving as the almost-final resting place of 7,000 to 8,000 people. After it was closed, many graves were exhumed and moved to Evergreen and Holy Hope Cemetery. Since 2005, archaeologist Homer Thiel has uncovered 25 burials.
On the Court Street Cemetery Tour, Homer will describe the history of the cemetery and the history of local undertakers. He will also walk to each of the areas he has excavated.
Dates: You will schedule the tour directly with Homer for a weekend day in October.
For up to 10 people.
