Item Description
The Bluegrass state is famous for its rich history, horses, and bourbon. Experience the best of all three on this all-day tour from Lexington. Your private driver will share the interesting history as you sit back and enjoy the ride. This trip includes a Kentucky Horse Farm tour, lunch at Glenn's Creek Cafe by Woodford, Woodford Reserve distillery tour and tasting, Castle and Key Distillery tour and tasting, up to 7 consecutive hours of luxury sedan service, and a 2-night stay in a standard guest room at Hilton Dowton lexington or comparable.
Kentucky Horse Farm
Beautiful horse farms have been part of the Bluegrass since the region was first settled, and so have horse farm visitors. Early 18th-century travelers remarked on the beautiful country estates of the Bluegrass noting, as one put it, “a handsome horse is the highest price of a Kentuckian.” Visiting a horse farm while in Kentucky is a uniquely Bluegrass kind of experience you’ll long remember. There are about 450 horse farms in the region. See the world’s most fabulous farms and barns, get up close and person with Kentucky Derby winners, revisit racing history, and discover an exciting variety or horse breeds.
Woodford Reserve Tour & Tasting
One of Kentucky’s oldest and smallest distilleries, the Woodford Reserve Distillery is built on history, sitting on Kentucky’s oldest distilling site where Elijah Pepper began crafting whiskey in 1812. Enjoy a guided tour through the distillery that explains the history of bourbon, how Woodford Reserve is unique at all five sources of flavor, the bottling process, and much more. Taste the award-winning craft bourbon and take in the scenery in the heart of bourbon country.
Castle & Key Distillery
Castle & Key isn’t just a great drink, and it isn’t just an immersive bourbon destination. It’s a new way of thinking founded on courage. It takes courage to make difficult decisions, make things the hard way because it’s the right way, and make change. Live courageously, and follow your crazy convictions.
