Item Description
12"L, 8"H, 6.75"W. This small chest was purchased at the Vesterheim Museum Store in 1984. This chest was used by the donor to store her bunad belt, along with her bunad silver and sølje. A small tray is inlcuded inside the chest. There is a hairline crack in the paint along the top of the lid near the back of the chest, but the lid is sturdy and intact. Painted with rosemaling in the Telemark style. Signed and dated by artist, 1984. Artist: Karen Jenson, Vesterheim Gold Medal rosemaler.
