Item Description
This handmade vase represents the time-honored black pottery tradition of Oaxaca, Mexico from techniques handed down from prevous generations. Fired clay is burnished to a sheen by hand with a piece of quartz or obsidian in a labor intensive practice to give the Barro Negro blackware its silky smooth surface.
