Gordon Halloran is an award winning Canadian illustrator know across Canada for his cover paintings for Macleans Magazine, the Globe and Mail, the CBC, Financial Post, Toronto Life Magazine and San Francisco Magazine.

Gordon Halloran is the creator of Paintings Below Zero. His monumental public art installations in ice fascinated audiences (350,000 visited the site) at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver where he created a 100-foot long wall of frozen paintings called Ice Gate. In Chicago 176,000 people came out to see his 200-foot long Museum of Modern Ice. Halloran was Canada’s official representative to the Cultural Olympiad for the 2006 Winter Olympics where his site-specific installation filled an entire church with a myriad of brilliantly coloured works in ice called Pitture Sotto Zero.
Mr Halloran started his career as an award-winning Canadian illustrator known across Canada for his cover paintings for Maclean’s Magazine, The Globe and Mail, The CBC, The Financial Post, Toronto Life Magazine and San Francisco Magazine.
He has also been commissioned to create historically significant paintings and drawings for some of the world’s most prominent financial organizations: The Chicago Board of Trade, The New York Mercantile Exchange, The Chicago Mercantile Exchange, The London International Futures Exchange, the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Vancouver Stock Exchange.
His paintings, drawings and prints hang in many public and private collections worldwide and have grown in value over the years because of the detail, his ability to capture real people in exciting portraits, and the historic nature of the work.
