"To the Planes Indian the buffalo meant life. The buffalo provided almost everything necessary to the Indian's daily life-food, clothing, and shelter. It was no wonder the buffalo were so revered. This Sioux warrior has chosen the buffalo as his Spirit protector and supernatural helper. The sounds of thunder and the thundering hooves of a herd of buffalo are apt to sound alike. It seemed appropriate to visually relate buffalo with thunder. This similarity became the inspiration for both the Indians name and the title of this painting."

- BEV DOOLITTLE

This piece is a framed print that portrays a dynamic scene centered around a figure, possibly a warrior or a mythical character. The figure appears to be leaping or flying through the air, giving a sense of action and movement. The character is detailed with attention to the attire, which seems intricate, suggesting a cultural or historical significance.

The background consists of abstract smoky swirls in a range of dark to light tones, primarily in brown, black, and beige, which could represent a battle scene, a mystical environment, or simply an artistic choice to focus the viewer's attention on the central figure. The use of such a color palette provides a sense of drama and intensity.

The wooden frame adds a formal, finished look. The matting around the artwork is done in a complementary color, which helps to isolate the image and draw the eye to the central action.

Overall, this piece combines figurative and abstract elements to create a captivating visual narrative that leaves much to the imagination. The motion and energy within the work are palpable, and it has a strong, perhaps even otherworldly, presence.
