Item Description
Joanne Baum began taking oil painting classes with Don Sahli in about 1999. She branched into Pastels with Julianne Moore in 2013. Joanne loves both mediums because they are so forgiving and fun to work with. Of course they can be frustrating also, when you see something in your head and something else is coming out your hands and fingers – but that’s part of the challenge…
You don’t have to be able to draw well to paint – that’s what Don taught Joanne.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to paint with oils or pastels?
Have you wondered if you had a hidden or latent talent?
Have you wondered if you’d like painting if you weren’t so intimidated by the idea?
Take a chance with these lessons.
Joanne will supply the pastels or oil paints, and brushes. You supply the pastel paper or canvas (Joanne can help you get the pastel paper or canvas for a painting before the lesson(s.) You can bring your own pictures to paint from, or Joanne will have a number you can choose from. Joanne uses a kind of Contemporary. Contemplative, Impressionist Approach (she does not do Abstract.) Her paintings were shown in the The Venue Art Gallery in Bloomington Indiana, and at various art fairs in Florida.
