Item Description
Spend two nights in a yurt at Dead Horse Point State Park in January or February 2025! A perfect location for experiencing sunrise and sunset, the yurts enjoy sweeping views of both the canyons and the La Sal mountains. With quick access to the Intrepid Trail System to ride or hike and with just a short drive to see the view from Dead Horse Point, breathtaking scenery is at your fingertips.
Each yurt contains sleeping space for up to six people, with a full over queen bunk bed and a full size futon. An outdoor propane grill allows for cooking on the deck. Heat, air conditioning, and electrical outlets are available, and comfortable seating areas both indoors and outdoors provide for a relaxing environment in any weather condition. Modern restroom facilities (no showers) are located a short walk away. Sorry, no pets!
Dead Horse Point is a peninsula of rock atop sheer sandstone cliffs 2,000 feet above a gooseneck in the Colorado River that creates a visual masterpiece. Plants and animals surviving on the edge of existence face many challenges of extreme conditions within this high desert environment. The peninsula is connected to the mesa by a narrow (30-yard-wide) strip of land called "the neck". There are many stories about how this high promontory of land received its name. What story will you discover on your visit to Dead Horse Point State Park?
