Eunice Young Smith
In her 60+ year career as an author and illustrator, Eunice Young Smith completed more than twenty books. She was named the Indiana Author of the Year by the State Librarians in 1966 for her book- "Shoon: Wild Pony of the Moors." Most of her books were for children, but her final work, "A Trumpet Sounds" completed in 1990, was an adult novel. Eunice Young married Stuyvesant C. Smith in 1928. She had two children, Sharon Kane, also an artist, and Chad Smith.
