Artist Statement:
For my cod, I was inspired by the original golden cods, representing the significance of cod in Marblehead's history. The cod industry supported many in the town throughout the 19th and 20th centuries and kept innumerous people fed. My char-'COD'-terie board can keep you fed and welcome many!
Artist Biography:
Kiara Brown is an artist based in Virginia. She has spent many summers in Marblehead with her family. She is the director of an organization that preserves the history of Richmond. In her free time, you can find her squeezing her garden into her apartment. Her two, three-legged cats are very pleased.

Item Special Note
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 13 from 12-3 and July 14 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.
If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
