Item Description
Do you have a child dreaming of making a difference in our community? Do you have a child preparing for a career in public service? Well how does being "Mayor for the Day" sound?
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for child to help run a Pleasant Hill City Council meeting, get to know Mayor Sue Noack, and learn about local government.
Your lucky student will start the evening having dinner with Mayor Noack and your family in a Pleasant Hill Downtown restaurant, followed by a tour of City Hall. Then, after reviewing the City Council meeting agenda, the Mayor for the Day will call the meeting to order, invite roll call, and run the first part of the meeting together with Mayor Noack. Your child will also receive a gift bag with Pleasant Hill souvenirs along with a certificate acknowledging your child as Mayor for a Day.
Visit must be arranged with Lyone Conner, City Clerk, at (925) 671-5221 or lconner@phillca.gov within 45 days of the auction, to schedule a date to take place in 2025. Date is contingent upon scheduling constraints.
