Ms. Francesca's Summer Camp - Five Day Art Camp

The "Art Literacy at the Museum" camp allows participants to explore materials that are typically unavailable in a classroom setting, engage with various art forms, and embark on an educational adventure to observe art at the great Museums our city has to offer. Ms. Francesca's camps' core foundation on art literacy provides an excellent opportunity to learn to understand art and express what happens in a piece, painting, or sculpture. Students implement different skills: pencil sketching, sculpture making, composition and color weight, patterns, and rhythm, as well as math connections with knitting and sewing.

Five days camp.
Ages 5-12
Camp Dates Summer 2025:

June 16 through June 20th

June 23rd through June 27th
August 4th through August 8th

Class size is limited to 6 participants. Limited to friends and family of Walgrove.

Art Literacy at the Museum’s camps focus on individual attention to each child's inner and creative artistic development.

Camp is 9am - 3pm. It starts at the Airport Park (outdoor), then a visit to a museum. Ms. Francesca will drive students in a van. Students return to the same spot for pick up and to finish up sketches, art and knitting/sewing.

Item Special Note

All orders are subject to a $.50 shipping and handling fee. This fee will be automatically added to your total purchase when the auction closes. Gift certificates will be sent via USPS or emailed if applicable. If you win an item and would like it mailed via certified insured mail, please email auction@friendsofwalgrove.com by March 28, 2025, and we will do so at your expense. If you would like to pick up an item, please contact us by March 28th, otherwise, we will ship your item.

Larger items can be picked up in Los Angeles, CA, or shipped at the winning bidder's expense via USPS Priority Mail. $11 for large envelopes, $21 for medium boxes, $27 for large boxes. Some items do not fit into these categories and you will be notified. We will try to use the smallest package size we can. We will insure packages when shipping; however, Friends of Walgrove is not responsible for items lost in the mail.

Walgrove Community: A pick-up option is available. The pick-up date at Walgrove Elementary is Friday, March 28th, from 8 am to 10 am. The location will be provided for Tuesday, April 1st pick-up from 5-7 pm.
