Item Description
Go wild on this Wild Edible Picnic and Plant Walk with forager, Natalie Evans.
You and five others (six people total) can find out about the wild edible foods growing all around you! Learn how to identify, forage, and eat wild plants in a responsible and ethical way. This event begins with a picnic where you can enjoy some pre-made foraged food and beverages while learning how to identify wild foods and forage safely. Then you will go on a plant walk around the park or neighborhood of your choosing to point out the wild foods in season.
There will be no foraging on the walk to help prevent damage to the ecosystem the plants reside in. Careless foraging can lead to certain plants becoming endangered and if you are caught foraging in areas where it's illegal to forage you will be fined.
However, Natalie will provide notecards with information on the edible plants that you can snap pictures of to keep for future reference and use this information to harvest plants in acceptable locations.
Sounds like an amazing day in nature!
