Item Description
The week is Saturday, August 23 to Saturday, August 30, with an option to stay until Sunday, August 31 (it's Labor Day weekend). The house sleeps up to 12 people with 5 bedrooms, four full baths, and an outdoor shower. (A full description of the house appears on the We Need a Vacation website: See link below.) The winner will need to bring linens or rent them from a local linen servicedonor can provide the details about how to do this. The house is ideal for a three-generation family or 4 or 5 couples. It is particularly well suited for gourmet cooking, with a spacious and well-equipped kitchen that features a 6-burner and 2-oven Italian stove. The third-floor great room with an incredible view will appeal to people who practice meditation, yoga, or other contemplative movement practices. A large wraparound deck with a table that seats 12 invites outdoor eating, and there's a firepit in the yard. The house has direct access to Nauset Beach, on the Atlantic Ocean, along a walking path from the yard of the house down a sandy road over the dunes. The walk takes about 8-10 minutes. The house has beach chairs available for use. No passes are needed for the ocean beach. Skaket Beach, on Cape Cod Bay, is about a 15-minute drive and has a parking fee for nonresidents, but bikes and pedestrians are free. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is 3 miles from the house and runs from Dennis to Wellfleet. Freshwater swimming, fishing, and cycling are available at nearby Nickerson State Park, in Brewster. The largest town between Hyannis and Provincetown, Orleans has lots of good restaurants, galleries, grocery stores, and pharmacies. https://www.weneedavacation.com/Cape-Cod/Orleans-Vacation-Rental-21847/
