Item Description
The Mootiful Garden was inspired by the diverse gardens of New England. It is a is a Mini Moo — kid sized — Cow. Each vegetable featured in the design can be found in the Richardson Garden at Old Sturbridge Village and on many New England farms. The vegetation found on this cow includes various types of squash, zucchini, sunflowers, strawberries, carrots, and common New England flowers. The Mootiful Garden is a painted fiberglass hollow statue with a removable wood base.
About the Artist: Ruth Young is a junior at Shrewsbury High School and has had a passion for art her whole life. She is a mixed media artist and enjoys creating art that sends a meaningful message. Ruth is an active member of the National Art Honors Society and has participated in various art competitions such as the Congressional Art Competition and the Anna Maria Art competition. She is currently illustrating a children’s book on climate change and hopes to use her art to send a message to her viewers.

The winning bidder agrees to leave the statue on display at Old Sturbridge Village to be part of the CowParade exhibit through September 28, 2025.
The winning bid of this auction item may include an amount eligible as a charitable contribution. Only the portion of the payment that exceeds the item’s fair market value (FMV) may be considered tax-deductible. Donors are encouraged to consult a qualified tax advisor for guidance regarding deductibility.
The cow form must be picked up at Old Sturbridge Village between September 28th and October 4th, or winning bidder may pay for shipping. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged due to shipping.
