Item Description
Horse-headed ale bowl carved by E. Hugdal, dated 1970. The bowl is painted with Os rosemaling by Barb Wolter dated 2020. Painted with dark green and orange. Norwegian phrase around the top of the bowl says, "Visste hesten si makt s let han ingen rida seg"; English translation: If the horse knew his strength, he would never let himself be ridden!" The bowl diameter is 6" on the top and 4" on the bottom. 12" across the top of the horse heads.
