President of NEOSA, formerly know as the Northeast Ohio Software Association, since its inception in 1998. There are over 400 member organizations in the Association from all parts of the IT Industry in the Northeast Ohio area.
Prior to his position at NEOSA, Mr. Cookinham has held executive positions with Mid-American Energy Resources, Inc., Panelmatic, Incorporated and was a nuclear plant project manager at Westinghouse Electric Corporation. In 1981 he founded International PC Owners, Inc.
Mr. Cookinham received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a graduate of the US Naval Academy where he had the opportunity to serve as an officer aboard the USS Seadragon, a nuclear submarine.
Born in Kansas but raised in Mallorca, Spain, Jim now lives in Cleveland, Ohio with his wife, Cindy. Their son is a recent graduate of Dartmouth College.
