Kate Hubben is the Executive Director of Leadership Cleveland, a program of the Greater Cleveland Growth Association started in 1977 to engage and cultivate civic leadership for our community. Prior to joining the Growth Association, Kate was President of Paramount Communications LLC, a media and government relations consulting practice. Past clients included AT&T, Home Depot, Cleveland Tomorrow, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Cuyahoga County, and Dynamis Healthcare Advisors.

Kate started her career as a television reporter and anchor in Erie, Pennsylvania and Columbus, Ohio. She left television to accept a position with former Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jim Petro to manage his 1992 campaign. After a successful campaign, Kate was hired as the Executive Assistant to Petro. In 1994, she became the Director of Public Affairs for the newly elected State Auditor Jim Petro. After leaving the public sector, Kate joined Cleveland Real Estate Partners where she specialized in government relations prior to starting her own firm.

Kate has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Ohio State University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Cleveland State University's Levin College of Urban Affairs. She is active in various civic organizations and currently serves as Immediate Past Chair of the Domestic Violence Shelter Advisory Board and Secretary of the American Jewish Committee. Kate also serves on the Advisory Board of Northern Trust Bank, Advisory Board of Cleveland Bridge Builders, Emerging Leadership Council for the National American Jewish Committee, Membership Committee of In Counsel with Women, Laurel School Board of Trustees and serves as a Mentor for the Cleveland Foundation's Civic Innovation Lab. She is Past President of the Ohio Women's Political Caucus and received the Robert E. Hughes Award for Political Achievement in 1993. Kate was named a Hilda Katz Blaustein Fellow in 1998 and a Sholom Comay Fellow in 2001 by the American Jewish Committee for outstanding Jewish leadership. In 2002, Kate was named one of Northern Ohio Live's 500 most influential women in Northeast Ohio.

Kate resides in Shaker Heights with her husband, Peter Nagusky, and their two children.
