Mary Ann Corrigan-Davis is a Senior Vice President at American Greetings Corporation, the world's largest publicly held creator, manufacturer and distributor of greeting cards and social expression products. She joined the company in 1977, initially as a sales representative. Since then, Mary Ann has held many senior roles with American Greetings, including Vice President of Product Management, President of the retail subsidiary Carlton Cards Retail, Group Managing Director, Asia-Pacific while living in Melbourne, Australia and Senior Vice President of International. As head of the international operations of American Greetings, she tripled the size of the business in five years, both through acquisitions and organic growth.
Mary Ann was named Senior Vice President of Business Innovation in October, 2000 and led a successful corporate-wide restructure and change initiative. She directs the Information Services division, and Strategic Planning and Initiatives, as a senior officer of the corporation. Mary Ann also now leads the corporation's Supply Chain Transformation project.
Mary Ann earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at John Carroll University, graduating cum laude in 1975. She earned her Master of Science in Management degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1976. Mary Ann also earned a diplôme from the Sorbonne, part of the University of Paris, while studying abroad as part of her undergraduate education.
In 1994, Mary Ann was awarded the Alumni Medal of John Carroll University and was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Saint Joseph Academy in 1996. Both awards recognize her commitment to the ideals of her alma maters. Mary Ann continues to serve these institutions as a member of the board of trustees at John Carroll University and chairman of the board of trustees at Saint Joseph Academy in Cleveland, Ohio. Mary Ann received the 2002 Greater Cleveland YWCA Women of Achievement award, which honors women who demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities in their careers and communities. Most recently, Mary Ann received the 2003 Irish American Archives Society "Walks of Life" award.
