Jim Meltzer is a Regional Vice President of Clear Channel Radio with local responsibilities for the management of the Company's six Greater Cleveland Radio Stations: WTAM, WMJI, WGAR, WMMS, WMVX and WAKS. The Cleveland Radio operation has 250 employees and commands over fifty percent of all radio advertising expenditures in the Cleveland area. In addition, Jim has regional oversight of several other Northeast Ohio Clear Channel Radio Stations. A Shaker Heights native, he has been in his current position since his return to the area in 1997. Jim is very active in the community. He is Chairman of the Board of Coats for Kids, Vice Chairman of the Greater Cleveland Media Development Corporation (Film Commission,) and Vice Chairman of the Cuyahoga Community College Foundation. Jim also serves on the board of United Way Services. Recent boards include the Greater Cleveland Convention and Visitor's Bureau, the Cleveland Baseball Federation and the Executive Committee of the American Cancer Society. Prior to his return, Jim was a Broadcast Executive in Philadelphia, Buffalo, Rochester, Cincinnati and Flint, Michigan. Since returning, he and his wife, Buffalo native Pamela Ellis Meltzer, have been active supporters of the Arts and numerous area non-for-profit organizations. Jim earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from the University of Cincinnati. He is a graduate of the 2001 Class of Leadership Cleveland, and was recently named one of the top 50 most influential people in Northeast Ohio by Crain's Cleveland Business.
