- Live Event Plates

Item Description

Money raised from the auction of this license plate will go to non-profit humane organizations and municipal animal control agencies in the Commonwealth that provide spaying and neutering services to cats and dogs.

Item Special Note

• Please be absolutely certain, prior to placing a bid, that you want that particular plate. Bids will not be retracted once placed and you will be responsible for payment if you are the winning bidder at the close of the auction.
• If you are bidding on multiple plates, you are responsible for all winning bids.
• You cannot delete a bid once that bid has been placed.
• Following the close of the auction, if you are the high bidder, you are the winner. You can check your rank among all bidders by clicking on "bid history."
• The winning bidder will be notified by email of their winning bid to confirm all winners and to notify you that your credit card will be processed for the inning amount. This confirmation email will be sent out by November 8, 2004.
• The names and addresses of all winning bidders will be provided to the Registry of Motor Vehicles as soon as all payments are processed and verified. Winners will receive the official registry information by regular mail six to eight weeks following the close of the auction. Winners will be able to pick up their plates at the Registry office closes to their home at that time.
• If you bid and win multiple plates, they must be registered to a vehicle or transferred to another owner within 90 days of notification of win. To transfer plates, please provide the owner with the letter from the Registry and a letter acknowledging transfer of plates from the bidder to the new owner.
• On-line bidding will only be allowed by computer -- no phone calls please.

This item will be offered at a live event after the online close.

The online Live Event items bidding will close Thursday, November 4th at 12:00 pm EST. The final bidding will take place at the held on Thursday, November 4th during the The Massachusetts Animal Friendly License Plate Auction. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND THIS WONDERFUL EVENT, YOU MAY PLACE AN ABSENTEE BID ON THIS ITEM. The highest ABSENTEE BID will be carried into the live event auction as proxy bid. You will be notified by Friday, November 7th if your Absentee Bid is the winning bid.

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ABSENTEE BID FOR THE LIVE AUCTION:

1. In order for your last bid to be valid, your email address must be the email address you used to register to bid online.

2. Please CLICK HERE to place a ABSENTEE BID.
3. All Last Bids are e-mailed under the same terms and conditions agreed to when you registered to bid online in this auction.
4. In the e-mail, you must include the following:
1. On what Animal Friendly License Plate (s) do you wish to place a last bid?
   
2. Your last bid amount(s)
   The auctioneer will use only the highest last bid received on an item.
   
3. The billing address you used to register to bid online.
   This will confirm your identity.
   
4. Your daytime and evening telephone numbers
   In the event the auction committee needs you to verify your last bid, if necessary.
5. Absentee Bid e-mails must be received by Thursday, November 4th at 12:30 pm EST.
