BIOGRAPHY: Katherine Chilcote is a painter, muralist and teacher at the University of Akron. She completed her MFA at the Studio School in Spring 2005 and has returned to Cleveland to start a public mural program with St. Paul's Community Church on the Near West Side. It is her hope to create public murals that transform community spaces, teach students how to trust what they see, and search out and bring people together for interreligious dialogue. She is currently working on a mural for the side of Route 2 at the intersection of Detroit and W. 25th St. in partnership with St. Paul's, Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries and Shared Ministry.
