Item Description

This auction is for a 1920s stone fireplace mantel. This stone mantel measures approx. 65 ½" wide X 53" tall X 8" deep. The central portion of the mantel consists of two carved panels featuring shields and oak leaves. The arched interior opening measures approx. 40" wide X 33" tall (to the top of the arch). The mantle is composed of three pieces of stone, all of which are in excellent condition with no major chips or missing pieces. Unfortunately, the stone has been painted several times,and some of the paint is flaking off.

All items can be viewed at Historic Houston's Salvage Warehouse located at 1307 W. Clay. No shipping is available on any of the items in Historic Houston's Spring 2006 auction. Payment for auction items can be made by Visa and Mastercard ONLY. Auction items must be picked up at Historic Houston's Salvage Warehouse by April 30, 2006. Auction items left over 30 days will be made available to the public and any payments collected will be considered a donation to Historic Houston's Salvage Warehouse.
