Item Description

This auction is for a pair of cast iron firedogs with matching fireplace screen. The firedogs feature a decorative element in front, as well as a bar to hold the logs. The decorative element was cast to look like it was hand forged, and is painted to look like it is made of brass, but the entire assembly is made of cast iron. The firedogs measure approximately 18" tall X 19" deep X 8" wide. The firedogs come with a matching fireplace screen that is made of stamped steel that is brass-plated. The screen measures approximately 44" wide X 32.5" high.

All items can be viewed at Historic Houston's Salvage Warehouse located at 1307 W. Clay. No shipping is available on any of the items in Historic Houston's Spring 2006 auction. Payment for auction items can be made by Visa and Mastercard ONLY. Auction items must be picked up at Historic Houston's Salvage Warehouse by April 30, 2006. Auction items left over 30 days will be made available to the public and any payments collected will be considered a donation to Historic Houston's Salvage Warehouse.
