Item Description
This Rwandan Peace Poncho is hand loomed by women living in refugee camps in Rwanda, thanks to a special partnership among One World Projects, Economic Development Imports, and FACED (The Fiber and Craft Entrepreneurial Development Center). The embroidery is hand-done in Rwanda's capital city of Kigali by women who survived the 1994 Rwandan genocide. The sale of these goods creates income-generating opportunities for women and their famiies where few opportunities, if any, existed.
Item Special Note
The material is fine South African kid mohair (78% kid mohair, 13% woold, 9% nylon) which feels great to the touch and is super warm.
