Item Description

This auction is for a hand-painted Russian Lacquer Tea Caddy. Lacquer boxes are an old Russian craft. Each one is hand-made out of paper mache, then hand-painted. Each box can take several months to make. This box features a hand-painted scene of two men drinking tea, as well as an ornate pattern on the top and sides. The box is in excellent shape, and measures approximately 3" X 2 1/4" X 3". Box comes in its original packaging and dates from the 1970s.

Payment for auction items can be made by Visa and Mastercard ONLY. Auction items must be picked up at Historic Houston's Salvage Warehouse by April 30, 2006. Auction items left over 30 days will be made available to the public and any payments collected will be considered a donation to Historic Houston's Salvage Warehouse.
