Item Description
Jules Alexander's photographs of Ben Hogan at the 1959 U.S. Open at Winged Foot are invaluable additions to any golf memorabilia collection. "I decided to use black and white film, rather than color," he once told a reporter, "because black and white is timeless, classic. And to me, that's Ben Hogan."
The portfolio contains twelve black and white prints of Ben Hogan, each measuring 16 by 20 inches, each signed and numbered by Jules Alexander and presented in a handsome linen clad case, richly embossed with the name "HOGAN" on the cover. The Portfolio offered is number 150 from a limited edition of 500.
Ben Crenshaw, a winner of two Master's Championships and a noted golf historian, provides a fitting and interesting complement to these timeless photographs in an enclosed essay.
