Item Description

Ready for a treasure hunt? Lincoln cents minted before 1959 are often called wheat pennies because of the design on the reverse. Most circulated wheat pennies are worth less than $1.00 each today. However, some dates have considerable numismatic value such as the 1909-S, 1911-S, 1914-D, 1922 and 1931-S pennies. Are any of these in the rolls? We don't know...and you'll have to bid to find out.

Great for beginning coin collectors. These coins, first issued in 1909 to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of Lincoln's birth, the Lincoln penny was the first United States circulating coin to bear a president's image, Victor D. Brenner's famous profile of Lincoln. Two sprigs of wheat adorn the first Lincoln penny reverse (1909-1958) This is the first time the motto IN GOD WE TRUST appeared on a coin of this denomination.
