Item Description
For the high bidder, ten people are invited to dine under the stars at Blue Hill at Stone Barns.
The al fresco evening will begin with a trip to the greenhouse to harvest some goodies for dinner. Once your gang has gotten their hands a little dirty, you will return to the restaurant for a cocktail reception on the restaurant terrace and listen to the music of John Ragusa. Farmers Jack Algiere, Shannon Algiere and Craig Harney will be on hand to talk about the farm and the food on your menu.
Your dinner will be served on the restaurant's lawn overlooking the warm weather fields. Chef Dan Barber will prepare the first course of your farmer's feast table-side. Wine Director Derek Todd will pair specially selected wine throughout your meal.
Blue Hill at Stone Barns marks the second incarnation of family proprietors Dan, David and Laureen Barber. The original Blue Hill restaurant, located in Greenwich Village, New York City, opened in 2000 and was named after the former Berkshire home of David and Dan's grandmother.
Blue Hill at Stone Barns combines a working farm, restaurant, and educational center in the spectacular surroundings of Pocantico Hills, New York, revitalizing a collection of barns and creating a space that highlights the abundant resources of the Hudson Valley.
As an added special touch to this wonderful night, Laureen Barber will design hand calligraphed invitations to your special evening.
Many, many thanks for the generosity of Laureen & David Barber and Blue Hill at Stone Barns for this very special opportunity which will no doubt be a memorable evening for everyone.
Item Special Note
The evening is redeemable on Wednesday and Thursday evenings only. Because the dinner is weather dependent, a rain date should be scheduled when making the reservation.
