The Authors Lee Manning-Vogelstein has always had an ardent interest in animals, which escalated into a passion when she became involved with horses. Her love for riding initiated her interest in owning a farm and the collection of animals that followed. The whitetail deer found their way to the farm where a number of experiences inspired the Tilly story. Lee's Professional training in NYC has been in theater arts with an emphasis on dance. She continues to teach at her own school, located in Rockland County for the past 25 years. In addition, Lee teaches the adult Ballet Workout in the tri-state area. Lee presently resides in Westchester County with her cat, Magic

Lisa Walker, born in Westchester, began riding horses at the age of six and became involved with rescue animals in her early teens. There, at the local nature center, abandoned animals such as raccoons, woodchucks, squirrels, etc. were treated and when possible, returned to the wild. Lisa's first employment was in the field of market research for nine years but her love for animals enticed her return to horses. For the next 20 years, she owned and operated, with her sister, a successful horse training, riding instruction and boarding business. Lisa is presently the manager of a private horse farm where, for the past eight years, she has had the opportunity to work with rescue animals of varying types. Lisa continues to live in Westchester County with her husband and two children.

Kristin Currid's childhood revolved around animals, especially horses, her first true love. Growing up working in various stables, Kristin learned that she wanted to pursue a career involving horses. She chose Southern Sem. College in Virginia to perfect her riding skills and study Equine Science. After college she began working on a horse farm. Her work on the farm with rescue animals has become the most rewarding part of her job. Kristin is married to a lieutenant in the NYC Fire Dept. and resides in Westchester County with their dog, Holly.
