Item Description
Overlooking the Hudson River in Tarrytown, New York is Lyndhurst, one of America's finest Gothic Revival mansions. The architectural brilliance of the residence, designed in 1838 by Alexander Jackson Davis, is complemented by a park-like landscape and a comprehensive collection of original decorative arts. Its noteworthy occupants included: former New York City mayor William Paulding, merchant George Merritt and railroad tycoon Jay Gould.
This package offers six passes to the Friday, December 1, 2006 Holiday Champagne Preview Party, a holiday benefit offering a rare opportunity to attend a party in the mansion, and be the first to preview the magnificent Holiday decorations. Champagne and hors d'oeuvres will be served amid glowing lights and holiday music. Fairytales are the theme. Come see the rooms decorated to reflect the following tales: the Nutcracker, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan and many more. You and five of your guests will be taken on a personal tour of the decorated mansion by the site's Assistant Director Cathryn Anders, and to end the evening you will be given three copies of the Lyndhurst book "A Fairy Tale Christmas," published by Harry Abrams which beautifully illustrates the mansion's decorations.
Item Special Note
Valid for the night of Friday, December 1, 2006 only. Six guests. Call for reservation.
