Item Description
Sandra Rudy, photographer and book artist, has lived in Alcalde, New Mexico since 2002, across the street from La Capilla de San Antonio, where Los Matachines de Alcalde dance each December 27th. A documentary, fine art, and travel photographer, Rudy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (1964) and a Master of Arts degree (1967) at Baylor University. She completed her postgraduate study at St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1968 and has attended numerous photography workshops. Rudy has traveled extensively and has exhibited her photography in collaboration with husband Steven Jay Rudy. She is represented in numerous public and private collections. Rudy is a member of the Royal Photograph Society in Bath, England and has been on the board of directors of the Center for the Arts, Crested Butte, Colorado; the Santa Fe Festival of the Arts Foundation; and the Main Street Art Happening, Houston.
