Led by a representative of Save Our Heritage Organization (SOHO), on this 90-minute walking tour of the historic and architecturally significant sites of California's oldest town, you will visit:

~ The home of San Diego's first African American settlers.
~ The buildings which housed not one but two of San Diego's earliest newspapers.
~ The site of the famous pear orchard, and hear the love story that blossomed there.
~ The Old Adobe Chapel, San Diego's first parochial church and site of Ramona's wedding in Helen Hunt Jackson's famous novel, Ramona.
~ The home of "John Phoenix," the humorist who changed the politics of San Diego's local newspaper overnight, much to the surprise of its editor!
~ The famous stage stop/hotel/restaurant "The Cosmopolitan," and much more!
