Item Description
Bid on this rare figurine of Japanese American baseball player Lenn Sakata who is currently a manager in the San Francisco Giants minor-league system. He was an All-Star in High School, an All-American in College and was drafted into the pros in the first round in 1975 by Milwaukee. Sakata, whose MLB career would span from 1975 to 1987 would go on to play for the Milwaukee Brewers, Baltimore Orioles, Oakland Athletics and the New York Yankees. He became the first player born and raised in Hawai'i to play in the World Series when he was with the Baltimore Orioles in 1983. Sakata was selected by CNN Sports Illustrated as one of the 50 greatest sports figures in Hawai'i history
