Item Special Note
Mark Twain was my grandfather's uncle on my father's side. His sister was my great-grandmother. Her husband was a barber (my great-grandfather). Their son, Edward Slaughter, had two sons and a daughter. The artist WA Slaughter was one. The other was a minister named Jack Talmage Slaughter, my father. I've never drawn or painted Mr. Twain before and I've wanted to for a while and now seemed fitting. I believe he would've had something to say about today's prison system. He struggled with alcohol, depression and financial ruin. I'm a herion addict.
