Item Description
12''x16''; acrylic paint on canvas board
Item Special Note
The title of this piece is "Lupa," which is Latin for a single female wolf. Since I have been a child I was often misunderstood just like the wolf. I was always excluded, wanted only for the work I could do cooking or in the house. I was treated like a slave and my only outlet was art, even though I was an artist living in a family with no appreciation for art. I usually do landscapes, but I knew that I had to paint her. Something drew me to her. We shared a bond that I can't explain. We are sisters living in this world of shared grief, loneliness and pain.
