Item Special Note
The inspiration for this painting comes from the situations prisoners find themselves in from time to time, when a bit of the free world flashes at us for a brief moment - usually unexpectedly and (more often than you'd expect) unwanted. Things as simple as a big orange maple leaf being blown over the towering brick wall. I'll pick it up and look at it like it's something from another world, which it is. A world with trees and laughing kids playing in piles of leaves. These are things that pass thorugh prisoners' heads on the way to the gallows.
