Item Special Note
This piece represents an inmate kneeling with one knee in the darkness of prison, the other in the ocean of ignorance, confusion and attachment. But even in this sea of suffering there are guiding lights. The prisoner tries to hold onto the ground, as if reassuring himself that he's still here, that something is still supporting him. The ground, however, is a game board symbolizing all of the games (both physical and mental) one partakes in while in prison. The man's other hand is pointing to his head as if he is losing his mind. On his cap is a question mark. Where are the answers to the questions?
