The Race:  Sheer tenacity has earned Ben Barnes the opportunity to ride in The Tour de France. He rises to every challenge, earning the admiration of his teammates, but there are also powerful forces aligned against him. When disaster strikes Ben is forced to confront both himself and his past more directly than he ever before dared.  What follows leaves the reader as white-knuckled as a cyclist plummeting down a serpentine descent. The Race careens around hairpin turns and sprints up daunting ascents as Ben rides to keep his word and regain his honor

The Tour:  Ben Barnes is on a quest to win the Tour de France. Along the way he confronts obstacles greater than he ever imagined, but it is the specter of illegal performance enhancing drugs that truly shakes him. In The Tour, readers experience the unique pressures and challenges posed by these substances from the perspective of a professional athlete. Can Ben overcome adversity to experience victory in "The City of Love"? Join him as he races over the back roads of France to find out.

Pendulum's Path:  Dave Shields has crafted a brutally honest novel of family, religion, and relationships.  This story transcends the boundaries of the Salt Lake Valley where it's set, ultimately soaring above and beyond the towering peaks of the Wasatch Front.  The themes woven through The Pendulum's Path will resonate with readers of all cultures
