Item Description

This beautiful example of African primitive painting is an original work from the country of Malawi depicting a village scene.  Malawi is often called the "warm heart of Africa." because of the warmth and friendliness of the people. Malawians typically live with their extended families in huts that are grouped together in villages. A spirit of cooperation prevails as family members share both work and resources.

It is acrylic on stretched canvas, unframed.  Size 28 inches wide x 18 inches tall. Signed by Malawi artist Paul N. Augusto 2004.
