Item Description
Have you ever watched the St. Patricks Day parade and wondered what it would
be like to march in it? Have you attended a special service or funeral
and was moved by the haunting sound of the bagpipes and wondered if you
could make that moving sound yourself?
Now you can -
Learn to play the Great Highland Bagpipe. Ten (10) "Beginner" Highland
Bagpipe lessons.
You will be provided with a 'practice' chanter where you will learn the basic
finger movements, as well as learn to read music and play in the
traditional Scottish style.
Your instructor, Cliff Roberts, is an active solo competitor and is the
current Pipe Major of Saint Ann's of Hampton Pipes and Drums (visit website). He has received instruction in the Great Highland
Bagpipe from many of today's Grade 1 World Champions such as Alastair
Gillies, Bruce Gandy, Bob Worall, and Donald Lindsey.
Item Special Note
Lessons will be given in the Somerville area of Central New Jersey, or within a reasonable drive of Somerville. No musical experience is necessary, in fact it gets in the way.
