Item Description
Own a piece of Vermont Stage history. This sleek chair was used in VSC's 2006 production of Copenhagen. It's lightweight, corrosion-resistant, strong, and maintenance-free — just a few of the reasons the U.S. Navy started using this chair on boats and submarines in 1944. Born out of collaboration between ALCOA and EMECO, this chair has become nothing less than an icon and is often imitated. Its one-piece welded aluminum construction is fashioned by hand and requires exactly 77 steps. In continuous production since being unveiled, today its versatile design and functionality seem more relevant than ever.
