Located in the heart of downtown Burlington, Trattoria Delia was established in 1993 by Thomas and Lori Delia; the restaurant is a celebration of Thomas' Italian heritage, with a focus on preserving the art of traditional Italian cuisine.
The menu at Trattoria Delia reflects food traditions and the true flavors of Italy's various regions. The difficult task of researching the recipes has been done through numerous travels to Italy and by tapping into the knowledge of Tom's relatives. Authentic dishes are recreated using the finest imported ingredients available, combined with locally-foraged edibles. In addition, Trattoria Delia strives to work as much as possible in partnership with local farmers to offer you the freshest and most wholesome Vermont grown foods.
At Trattoria Delia the ambiance is cozy, relaxing and casual. Upon opening the large heavy wooden door, beautiful Italian music and opera can be heard. The dining room's focal point is a large Vermont Panton stone fireplace, lending a warm and romantic feel to the candlelit tables. Large wood posts and beams throughout, with accents of Italian pottery and photographs taken in Italy, complete the decor.
Trattoria Delia is a restaurant where the service is as high quality as the cuisine, where cooked-to-order specialties are served by our knowledgeable, award-winning staff, and where we offer an extensive Italian wine list that has been recognized by The Wine Spectator since 1995.
