Item Description

Signed Limited Edition 16 1/2" x 27" Print by renowned local artisit Greg Tisdale (unframed)

ABOUT THE ARTISIT - Known for his watercolor paintings of the Great Lakes' freighters, Greg Tisdale has cast a light on a particular characteristic of life on the Great Lakes.  His technical knowledge of ship workings and detailed representation compels attention.  Tisdale himself describes his work as "tight, accurate and realistic depictions of the ships themselves - but not photographic."  With a loose almost impressionistic treatment of sky and water, your eye is captured and funneled into realism.

Living near the Great Lakes in Grosse Pointe, Michigan most of his life, Tisdale was never far from his subject matter.  He received his formal art education from the Center for Creative Studies and has worked as a graphic artist.  Using his artistic talents, he has increased appreciation of nautical activities throughout the Great lakes.

Greg Tisdale, represented by Gallerie 454 of Grosse Pointe Park, has been recognized by the State of Michigan Senate for his cultural and artistic contributions.  His works are represented in museums and major corporations throughout North America.
