Item Description

WINE- Celebrity chef, Michael Chiarello is the tastemaker behind NapaStyle, Chiarello Family Vineyards, Consorzio Flavored Oils and Tra Vigne Restaurant in the Napa Valley as well as an Emmy-winning Food Network personality and cookbook author. Chiarello Family Vineyards is a small family winery making highly-rated, small production, estate grown wines from the historic 94-year old vineyards surrounding the Chiarello home in St. Helena. Surrounding their historic old vines, are Zinfandel and two distinctly different Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, along with the Old Vine Petite Sirah and Old Vine Zinfandel. Michael credits the quality of the wine to the personal, hands-on care of the vineyards and the natural, sustainable farming techniques. He crafts ultimate food-friendly and earth-friendly wines, fully extracted and ripe with layers of wonderful flavors. The Eileen Cabernet, a clone of Grace Family Vineyard clone, a soft, voluptuous wine, is their Reserve Cabernet, and the highest rating this Cabernet has received to-date is 93 Points. The Giana Zinfandel, named after their youngest daughter, grown from Rafanelli Zinfandel budwood, is a delicious, very food-friendly wine, with a highest rating to date of 92 points. Also included in this lot are three cookbooks by Michael Chiarello, The Tra Vigne Cookbook - Seasons in the California Wine Country, At Home with Michael Chiarello and Napa Stories.
